Waterfalls are spectacular, simultaneously beautiful,
uplifting, overwhelming and bringing such immediacy
into our minds.
There is no wondering about
what the waterfalls were like
yesterday, no way to know what
they'll look like tomorrow.
There will always be a shade of
difference, a nuance noticed
or not, but to see them right now,
in this moment in their
powerful splendor---that is the
way to celebrate the present.
Quotes on Living
in the PresentWhen I am anxious it is because I am living in the future. When I am depressed it is because I am living in the past. ~Author UnknownI got the blues thinking of the future, so I left off and made some marmalade. It's amazing how it cheers one up to shred oranges and scrub the floor. ~D.H. Lawrence One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon - instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today. ~Dale Carnegie

Actions for Today
As today is not only the most important placein which you can live, but it is also the mostjoyous place to be: the present. This is my suggestion for your action plan today.Step up, believing in yourself today and your past successes. Speak strongly with self-talk and add another notch of achievement to your belt. You may be pleasantly surprised in your ability "to act as if" it were all second nature, but also thoroughly exhilirated.Act as if you were completely happy and full of joy in your skin today, unafraid of tomorrow and unburdenedby yesterday. You can then see how you act today can beyour reality today and tomorrow.
Some really good news:
2 of my blogs were reviewed
on "Critique My Blog" this week,
and here's the review----
Paint some happy trees!
Both blogs are about positive energy.
The posts are inspiring and thought
provoking and the goal is to help the
reader succeed in life. The photos in
the waterfall blog are great and make
me want to walk right through some
of them to feel the mist. Both blogs are
worth a look as the posts are well written
and helpful.
Quotes on Living
in the Present
The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient. One should lie empty, open, choiceless as a beach - waiting for a gift from the sea.Anne Morrow Lindbergh If you surrender completely to the moments as they pass, you live more richly those moments.Anne Morrow LindberghThe only real security is not in owning or possessing, not in demanding or expecting, not in hoping, even. Security in a relationship lies neither in looking back to what it was, nor forward to what it might be, but living in the present and accepting it as it is now.Anne Morrow Lindbergh

The Future is Made in the Present
The past, happy or sad, is dead. We can’t change it. It also doesn’t have any value for our purposes. Of course we can learn from our past mistakes, but dwelling on the past is just a waste of time.If we don’t think about the past, we usually think about the future.
Often we are afraid of the future, sometimes we look at the future with hope. But the future is made in the present. We need to start living in the present and concentrate on the present. We need to be happy now.
If we are happy now, we build our happy future. Because of that it is very important to gradually control the mind and to live in the now; try to be happy now.We can easily change our mind’s states. We can listen to some good music , we can think about someone we love or we can look at something beautiful. Whatever helps to feel happy.
A good way to get in the good mood is to do some simple breathing exercises, which very quickly help to achieve peace and control of the mind.Another good way is to practice gratitude for the things you have and the things you would like to have. You cannot feel unhappy when you feel grateful.
